The new Phil & Teds Promenade

The ever so fashionable pushchair manufacturer Phil&Teds is about to launch a brand new in-line tandem buggy called the Phil&Teds Promenade. Phil & Teds pretty much invented the Inline tandem market and already have a great range of practical sporty products with the Explorer, The Vibe and Verve.

The new Promenade is a completely different to the rest of the all terrain style products in the Phil & Teds range and is packed with loads of extra features and options. The new Promenade  features a seat that converts into a lie-flat bed, and will adapt to take one or two children.

The Promenade looks fantastic as a single or a double pushchair but unlike the Phil & Teds Explorer, Vibe or Verve the Promenade gives you the option to have your baby parent facing.

It is a travel system pushchair that can be used with a seat or car seat in the main position and a second seat double kit attached above the back wheels.

New buggy seat features

The seats on earlier Phil&Teds pushchairs have sometimes lacked sophistication, but this new release addresses some of those previous shortcomings.

New seat features include:

Both Phil&Teds Promenade seats can convert to a lie flat bed

  • the main and double kit seats convert into lie-flat beds
  • the main seat can face the parent or forwards
  • the backrest of the main and double kit seats recline to three positions using just one hand
  • the main seat has a three position adjustable foot rest
  • the harness shoulder pads can be adjusted independently
  • the main sunhood has a zip-out extension to keep the sun out of baby’s eyes.

The pushchair also has an extendable sliding handle, dual front wheel suspension and a neat concertina fold mechanism.

My Verve arrived today and despite having a million & one things to do at home after the Easter break, I unpacked it, set it up and took it out for a test drive straight away. It is FAB! I’m so impressed with it, the 4 wheels make the handling effortless and I was gobsmacked when it literally glided over rough stones and gravel whilst I pushed one handed, Superb!

The little ones loved it too, the seats are very roomy, the DK in particular is a great size – and that recline facility is superb! Daniel won the battle for the rear seat rider position today and was fast asleep within minutes of setting off. To be able to recline him so easily when he did was fantastic, such a clever design and it’s definitely going to be an attractive feature of the Verve for many people.
