Silver Cross have announced that they will be launching three ranges of nursery furniture in January 2011. I was lucky enough to preview all three furniture sets at a recent trade exhibition and as always arrived armed with my camera.

Silver Cross are launching three different collections, The Porterhouse, The Nostalgia and The Devonshire. (The Nostaligia and the Porterhouse can be seen in the pictures above)

 The Porterhouse is a timeless collection in a shaker style design that will look equally at home in a modern or traditional home.

The Nostalgia is hand crafted from 100% solid wood and finished beautifully in soft antique white.

I am not quite sure how I managed to omit taking photographs of the third set, maybe it was the champagne I was consuming at the time, but the missing set is called the Devonshire. The Devonshire is certainly a timeless classic also made from solid wood and finished in a lovely dark Walnut.

 All three furniture sets from Silver Cross are stunning and include a Cot Bed, a full size wardrobe that will last you for years and years to come, as well as a dresser / changer.  Each component will be availbale to purchase separately but for full room sets Silver Cross will also be offering an excellent delivery and assembly service. Your can have your Silver Cross furniture hand delivered directly to the room of your choice, assembled by experts and all the packaging and debris removed from your home.  This service sounds highly appealing to me considering the number of flat pack furniture assembly rows we have had over the years! 

The official price has not been released just yet, but our sources have suggested that all three ranges will be the same price and for a full three piece set it is probably going to be set around the £1200 mark. This represents excellent value for money considering the quailty of this furniture.

Silver Cross have not just stopped at the furniture but will also be releasing three beautifully designed bedding ranges. The best thing about the bedding is that it will be available in a birth to toddler bedding set so you don’t have to think about what you need because Silver Cross have already done it for you. The birth to toddler bedding set is rumoured to include everything from a sleeping bag for your baby, to a cot bed bumper and a quilt.

There is a girl specific range in pink called Soooooo pretty and this is described by Silver Cross as a little girls delight inspired by dressing up. Soooo Pretty incorporates a contrast of candy stripes, mini polka dots and ditsy floral to produce a vintage style with a modern twist.

The classic range is a premium neutral collection incorporating a delicate metailic heart print and is embellished with a traditional styel crest embroidered in soft mocha.

Cherished can be seen on the porter house products above and again is a neutral collection of soft mocha, creams and refreshing aqua and toffee tones. This colection has a traditional handmade feel with the use of patterned fabrics to create a luxury patchwork design.

Silver Cross have not released any prices for the individual bedding components but the birth to toddler bedding sets are rumoured to be pitched around the £150 mark. Again is this is the launch price this is excellent value and gives you pretty much everything that you need in one box.

Just take a look at these beautiful Silver Cross Rag Dolls, a great christmas present for any lucky little girl. I bought my 3 year old niece the Bronte rag doll last year and she absolutely loved it, however she did re name her Fiona which was infact pronounced Finona by Georgina!

This year Silver Cross have introduced two new friends to the range named Molly and Beth. The Molly rag doll has lovely auburn hair and a yellow dress and Beth with beautiful dark hair and fantastic bright red clothing.
