Product Video’s now available to view at www.itsababy.co.uk

It’s a Baby Ltd are pleased to announce that the It’s a Baby website and webstore now includes product demonstration video’s for many of the top products on offer.

As well as images and the product descriptions you can now link to a short video presentation

Silver Cross, Britax, Quinny, iCandy, Baby Jogger, Cosatto, Mountain Buggy, Phil & Teds and Stokke Pram system product entries are all supported with the relevant product video. As well as the pram system you can see videos for all of the Britax car seats and many of the Maxi Cosi car seats too

Watch out for new blog posts as we are going to publish many of the instuction videos on our blog however if you want to see a list of all the product videos we have to offer, take a look at the It’s a Baby you tube channel

The Silver Cross Surf is on its way. Its a Baby expect to receive their first delivery into store on January4th!

The surf is the latest addition to the Silver Cross family of innovatively designed products. In recent years we have seen the stylish Dazzle and Halo strollers as well as the Doodle high and low chair but the Surf looks different again.

The Silver Cross Surf comes in black, slate and linen grey, this pushchair is designed for mums who are looking for a modern contemporary, sleek, urban looking pushchair. Although the standard colours are all somewhat understated there are 5 bright coloured snugs that will give a real splash of colour to the system.

Most new parents are looking for a forward and rearward facing pushchair and as you’d expect, the Surf is full reversible. The reversible seat unit provides you with the felxibility to have your baby or toddler facing towards you or away from you.

The surf is extremely lightweight but extremely strong and durable due to the magnesium alloy chassis. At only 7.5kg the Surf should be nice and light for getting in and out of the car. The Surfs airsprung suspension gives your baby a super comfortable ride!.

The Silver Cross surf is all about the ride. The all terain suspension has been developed to give you the maximum freedom and your baby the maximum comfort so you can comfortably push it around town, on country lanes and even on the beach!

The surfs pushchair seat is suitable from birth and comes with an absolutely gorgeous snuggly babynest for your newborn, plus it is  compatible with a Silver Cross Ventura car seat, so it can be converted into a travel system. For those mums who want a “proper” carrycot, this is available as an accessory to the package but there are loads of other great accessories you can buy for the surf.

The optional extras are:

Surf Snug – available in black, lime, chillie, tangarine or lilac. Each snug is lined in a vintage cream fleece 

Fleece Blankets -available in lilac with cream stitching, charcoal with lime stitching, Lime with grey stitching, Juicy stripe, tonal stripe, duck egg blue with white stitching, white with black stitching

Surf Parasol – available in Linen, Slate and Black

Surf Carrycot – The carrycot offers maximum protection for your newborn with deep and supportive sides. The carrycot is supplied with a vintage cream liner and a mattress. The carrycot is also suitable for overnight sleeping if required and is supplied with a separate rain cover.

Silver Cross Coach Built Dolls Prams

It is so refresing to know that little girls are still playing with dolls and dolls prams. Our children seem to grow up so quickly these days, especially girls. The Silver Cross heritage dolls prams have been a massive seller for us in the run up to Christmas. If only we had ordered more of the pink toy rose colour! I just can’t believe how many phone calls we have taken for them.

We have had two Silver Cross Dolls prams dispayed in our window for a few months now and they are real head turner! People stop in the street to look and admire them, others pass on the bus and call the store to enquire about them, and some customer have driven miles and miles to see them.

Its a Baby is set to become a Silver Cross Heritage centre in 2010, stocking the full collection of Silver Cross coach built heritage prams. We are all really excited about taking our first delivery of the Kensington pram in Januray and hope that the full size prams generate as much enthusiasm, nostaligia and interest as the dolls prams have done.

Britax Car Seat – New 2010 Colours

I have finally loaded all the new 2010 Britax Car seats onto the itsababy website – http://www.itsababy.co.uk/britax

Whilst Britax 2010 wheeled goods are not expected to become available until after January 22nd 2010, all of the car seats are available straight away!

I have to say Britax have selected some very strange names for each of the new colours, such as Nicolas, Felix, Olivia, not that there is anything wrong with those names but they just don’t say Britax children car seat to me! Having criticised the names that Britax has chosen the colours are actually terrific, in fact a great improvement over the 2009 range. There is still the option for dark practical colours, such as Jet, Felix and Nicolas but with the introduction of Bella ( a pink and blue denim) as well as Mickey and Maxim there are fabrics to suit all tastes. My particular favourites are Mickey, which is a blue and dark grey and Maxim, which is Green and dark Grey.

I don’t have a great selection of images on Britax’s eagerly awaited B smart and B Dual but what I have can be viewed on the website. The B smart which will replace the popular Vigour 3 and Vigour 4 has an extended range of colourways for the pushchair, the carrycot, the infant carrier car seats as well as the beautiful footmuff / cosytoes. The B Dual is an excellent inline double pushchair that enables a variety of seat combinations that will differentiate it from many of its inline buggy rivals.
