For thoose of you who are fans of the Silvercross surf you will know that while the travel system is light and extremely useable the only downfall was the teeny tiny shopping basket that it comes with so for all you ladies who like to shop as much as i do a tiny basket is a tiny nightmare !!
Silvercross seem to have forseen our worried and the Lobster Pot is due to arrive in store in the next few weeks. The lobster pot gives you a huge storage at the bottom of the chassis – shopping problem Solved !!

HI just wondering has the lobster pot come out yet, if not any idea when?, also do you have any idea how to attatch the car seat i have no idea…thanks
We have had one display lobster pot arrive in store but we are led to believe that our back order of lobster pots will be arriving over the next week to 10 days. The Maxi Cosi Car Seat adaptors have been delayed slightly and will be with us early September.
The basket on the surf is an issue, but I paid £44 for the new lobster pot and really wish I didn’t bother!
It is double the size of the existing basket but you still can’t fit ANY shopping in it.
The new lobster pots arrived into store last week and they do look great on the surf chassis. I think it is neat that you can remove the basket and carry the contents to their destination but I would agree that the baskets are not exactly large in terms of volume. I don’t think these baskets are designed to be able to take all your shopping but they are a big improvement on the basket that comes as standard.
Not sure who you bought your lobster pot from at £44 but we sell them for £30 at Its a Baby Ltd. If you have already invested in a surf the lobster pot shopping basket is definitely a worth while purchase. Call Fran, Donna or Charlotte at It’s a Baby on 0161 763 4463 to order one.
