I have pestering and pestering Silver cross for updates and new information ever time one of the silver cross team pop into the store. Our favorite Silver cross lady agreed to help out in store on sat and you can imagine my delight when she told me that she had the Surf proto – type in the back of her car !!! The proto – type was in a tangerine color which was lush and after cooing over it for 10 mins I gave it push it around the store and on the cobbles in the car park -the suspension at the front and the back of the surf makes a massive difference to the overall feel of the pushchair and it definitely felt smooth to push – “It certainly is all about the ride” as all the leaflets and posters say !
The accessories add a splash of colour and the optional baby snug offers this with the added sleeping bag protection for your baby. The snugs are available in 5x colours Black, Lime, Chilli, Tangerine and Lilac and they are all beautifully lined with cream fleece – they look so comfy im tempted to try and squeeze in them myself !
Overall I would say that the Surf is everything that it has promised to be, and more. The chassis is 
as light as a feather even with the seat unit on it, the only weight is in the tyres which are conveniently filled to prevent any flat tyres and the tyres can be removed for ease of storage. The folding mechanism was smooth and easy to use, leaving a small chassis for storage and more importantly it fits easily into most cars, we even managed to fit the Surf into the back of a mini – WOWSER !! I’m surprised to say that I don’t think there is anything that I didn’t like about it !!
Everyone who saw the surf in store on Saturday loved it – the design and overall look of the pushchair is eye-catching and everyone who came in stopped to look at it and asked for a demonstration with some people reserving their Surf on the spot !!

I love the look of the Surf but i have a few questions.
Is it compatiable with the Original ventura carseat ? I have one from my first child ?
Is the seat unit suitable from birth of will i need to but the carrycot as well ?

Hi Lucy, The surf does use a ventura carseat BUT it is an adapted version of the one that you will have used with you previous Silvercross Travel system, the apapters are already intergrated with the Surf Ventura so that you dont have to mess about with fiddly adapters.
The seat unit is suitable from birth with a snug carrycot available as an optional extra. Feel free to give the showroom a call to speak to one of the ITS a Baby girls for more information.

Hi there, I live in Australia and am keen to get my hands on a surf when I next visit England. Can you advise approximate size/weight of the pushchair when still in its original packaging? As I may I decide to buy it and bring it back to Australia with me?
