During the 9 months that you are getting ready for your baby to arrive you need to find time  to nest, list all the items you need for your nusery, research them …. and THEN find a place that you can buy them !  One of the hardest things to buy can be your nursery furniture, you have all the practical things to consider, will it fit in the room ? Will there be enough storage space with it and the most important question IS IT AFFORDABLE ??

The wait for the SIlvercross Surf seems to have gone on forever.  It’s a baby were all geared up to receive our first Surf systems in January and we were all very disappointed to hear that they had been delayed until March.  But now that March is nearly here the excitement has returned and the days are counting down on the calendar.

The surf has attracted a lot of attention not just from Loyal Silvercross fans but also other expectant mums who are looking for the ultimate travel system.  The surf has something that attracts everyone by being lightweight and all terrain but compact yet robust making it perfect for city living or country girls.    But the thing that excites me the most is not really all the practical usability features that Silvercross have designed but the style.  The surf has a very modern look, unique without losing any of the gracefulness and classic chic look that you expect with the silvercross brand.

We are only 9 miles from Manchester city centre and directly adjacent to the new Bury town centre development. The new Its a Baby Show room has the luxury of its own private car park, which is positioned just behind the store, where we will be happy to load up you car with your purchases or to fit a child car seat. We can even offer you a lovely coffee, tea or hot chocolate from our fabulous new drinks machine to enjoy as you peruse the range of products on display.

We have only moved a hop skip and a jump from our original location, home to Its a Baby Limited for the past 12 months and Nappyline for the previous 18 years but our new store offers a much larger retail space and this has enabled us to introduce some new brands. New to the show room is a broad selection of products from Cosatto, a local Bolton based company who have a bright and breezy approach to marketing with branding and imagery that clearly differentiates their products from the crowd! We have a full Cosatto Hogarth nursery furniture set on display in white and Oak and hope to increase our furniture display. We have decided to turn our “old” store into a nursery furniture show room which will enable us to show our customers up to 6 different nursery sets in a range of wood colours, styles and price points. Also on display from Cosatto you will find the Budi 3 in 1 travel system and Cabi 3 in 1 travel system, as well as a range of Cosatto high chairs, the goo goo rockers, The yo, the swift lite, the me too and the i spin strollers.

We are also pleased to announce the introduction of the Stokke brand to our new show room. We are confident that we will be making another exciting announcement in March regarding the introduction of a third highly sort after brand!

Not forgetting Silver Cross! We now have an amazing display of fantastic products from Silver Cross and each travel systems, car seat and stroller can be seen in a variety of fabrics and colourways.  We are really looking forward to introducing the Silver Cross Surf to our show room and will be one of the first retailers to receive stock mid March. We have placed a significant initial order, but to avoid disappointment we are recommending that our customers pre order the surf with us now! Britax also have a fantastic presence in our new show room with a Britax specific area showcasing a full selection of car seats as well as the impressive Britax wheeled goods. This week we have welcomed the arrival of the new B smart 3 and the B Smart 4 that has replaced the 2009 vigour model. There are some subtle modifications to the B smart chassis and the new fabrics are really nice, so overall Britax have made some excellent improvements on what was already a great system. The new B Dual is set to arrive this week and we are looking forward to comparing this against the Phil and Teds inline double range. I have seen the B dual and is does look good. There are some extra features over its competitors and I would say the main one is the compatibility of the Britax infant carrier car seat with the B dual, which can be attached directly to the chassis.

There is so much more to talk about and I do have some photo’s that I will post of the displays I have described above, but from now I am going to sign off!
