2010 has started with an increase in interest and sales on the Nipper 360 and Nipper 360 Double products thanks to yet another GOLD award from the consumer press. Following on from last year’s Mother & Baby GOLD award the Nipper 360 and Nipper 360 Double have now added Practical Parenting’s endorsement with the following awards
2009 / 2010 – Best Three Wheeler GOLD Award
“There’s a lot to love about the Out ‘n’ About Nipper 360 single. For starters, assembly is a doddle. An easy click of the wheels and a quick flip of the handle allow you to get going quickly. The seat reclines fully and has mesh ventilation panels on the back and sides, which makes it very climate controllable. The handle is padded with a thick foam layer so long walks seem like a stroll around the block. A pad for the seat can be added for extra comfort and warmth for your child and the 5-point harness is secure and sturdy.”
2009 / 2010 – Best Double Buggy GOLD Award
“It’s really light and easy to steer, and has plenty of room in it for two toddlers. The price is really reasonable for what you get, and it looks stylish and sporty enough for dads to be happy to push it! It’s also comfy and safe enough for newborn twins”
One of the big advantages of the Nipper 360 is the size of the wheels: it really is true all-terrain buggy and is great for the adventures outdoor types. The big wheels and the suspension give the children a really comfy ride. It’s called ‘360’ because the front wheel swivels (although you can lock it if you want to), and this really does make it a breeze to steer: it’s more manoeuvrable than many single buggies, and you can even push it with one hand. The handle height is nice and high – good for Dads – although it’s not adjustable so it may be a little high if you’re short.
The Nipper hood is substantial and comes down nice and low, so its good for protecting delicate skin from the sun or wind. The raincover is also great and covers the whole pushchair. It doesn’t have a frame so it folds down really small, and fits in one of the back pockets.
In between the two seats there is a divider which gives tiny babies their own separate space to fall asleep in and it also stops older children nudging and disturbing each other. The seats recline to a fully flat positon which makes the Nipper Double 360 suitable for new born babies. The cosy toes are an ad on accessory but most customers tell us that they are worth the extra money. You can also buy head huggers to make it even more secure for small babies. The head huggers are also an ad on accessory but there are a lot of people who buy the Nipper Double 360 for older children or for baby and toddler so I suppose it would be a bit wasteful to include it as standard. The only other ad on to consider is the shopping basket. Its a shame that this isn’t included as it is a nice size and is really a must have item if you use your nipper for shopping around town. Apparently Out n About don’t offer this accessory as standard so that it can be used on rocky terrain or going up mountains, without anything dragging on the ground below the seats. This is a fair point, but I’d say more parents will be using it day to day for trips to the shops than for going up big hills!
The Nipper Double folds down really easily, although you have to remember to fasten the locks on each side to stop it folding down again once it’s upright. This is a safety feature, and is a really good idea to make it safe for off-roading. Another safety feature is the fact that the seats don’t sit fully upright – this stops toddlers tipping forwards if you’re going down a steep hill. This can seem a bit strange for toddlers who are used to being bolt upright in other buggies.
